Amended Timetable

From Monday 10th January until further notice

What’s Happening?

Like many businesses across the UK, TransPennine Express continues to feel the impact of Covid-19. The increasing effect of the Omicron variant, coupled with seasonal sickness, has resulted in a shortage of available train crew. In response, on Monday 10 January, we introduced an amended timetable designed to provide a stable and reliable service for our customers.

Though the new timetable will provide improved reliability and stability, TPE may still face ‘on-the-day’ challenges to its services as a result of short-notice sickness and some industrial relations issues. It may therefore be necessary to make a relatively small number of further short-notice cancellations or service amendments on a day-to-day basis. The latest details can be found below:

Pre-planned cancellations Friday 28th January

We are sorry for any disruption that this may cause to journeys in the coming days and ask you to allow additional time for travel and to check carefully – up to the last minute – for any changes to train times. You can check for updates on TransPennine Express services here: https://www.journeycheck.com/tpexpress/.
